New Deputy President of UTCWI
Effective July 1, 2011, Fr. Garth Minott assumed office as new Deputy President of the College. He succeeds Rev. Trevor Edwards who served for approximately 10 years. Fr. Minott is
decribed as an independently driven highly motivated individual committed to inspiring excellence and confidence among students and peers.
He lectures in Introduction to Ministry, Christian Ethics, Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Theology, Pastoral Counselling and Christian Worship at
UTCWI. For the past five years, based on student evaluations, he has been one of the most highly rated lecturers at UTCWI. A graduate of The University of the West Indies and McGill University, Fr. Minott has also pursued professional development training in areas such as Instructional Design, Basic Research Skills, Clinical Supervision and is currently undertaking PhD studies.
Other areas of professional involvement include Consultant to NCTVET on mainstreaming HIV and AIDS in Curriculum, Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT)
HIV/AIDS Master Trainer, Member Ethics Committee UWI Medical Faculty and Member National Bioethics Committee.
