The United Theological College of the West Indies (UTCWI) is a community of persons who have for over 40 years studied for the Christian ministry and shared lifes with personis a community of persons who have for over 40 years studied for the Christian ministry and shared lifes with persons of other denominations and countries in the Caribbean and Central America. UTCWI graduates have gone on to serve with distinction in the Caribbean, The Americas and the wider world in a variety of ministries and vocations.

UTCWI is the largest ecumenical Theological Institution in the aglaphone Caribbean attracting students from all language areas of the Caribbean as well as Central America. Students from the United States and other countries such as Sierra Leone and Jordan have also found academic stimulation and welcome here.

The College is committed to ecumenism, the working together of persons from different churches to transform the world to a place of justice and peace following the example of Jesus the Christ. At UTCWI, there are opportunities to reflect on the wider meaning and purpose of life and prepare, with academic rigour and passion to fulfill one’s life’s mission. The programme includes courses and activities to promote ministerial formation, such as experiences in spiritual direction.

A highly trained and compassionate faculty comprised of women and men from different denominations with academic and professional experience in the Caribbean and Central America, North America, Africa and Europe work together to facilitate the total development of all UTCWI students. The faculty keeps abreast of best practices in theological education and regularly reviews the curriculum to keep pace with international standards.
