GUIDE TO REGISTRATION

The Process of registration:

The students in consultation with Warden should choose the courses, ensuring that; they fit into the programme being undertaken, they are appropriate to the students stage, they are qualified for the course that is being completed, they note the prerequisites and ensure there are no clashes on the timetable.

  • The registration form signed by the Warden will be presented to the Accounts department.
  • The Registration forms with the relevant financial clearance will be presented to the Office of the Dean of Studies.
  • The Office of the Dean of Studies will review the forms for policy compliance and proceed to register the students.
  • In the case of students completing the degree through the University of the West Indies. After clearance from the Office of the Dean of Studies the student will be required to register for the University courses online.

THE WARDEN AND THE OFFICE OF THE DEAN

  • Wardens are academic advisors (use them wisely.
  • Article 10 of the UTCWI Constitution states: “ Students shall be admitted on the recommendations of the communions responsible for their acceptance as candidates for ordination or other recognition, and the authorities of these Communions shall be consulted as to the courses to be undertaken by their students and shall share in their oversight.”
  • One responsibility of the Warden is that of academic advisor for the denominational students.
  • Wardens are therefore required to plot the course of the stu-dents study sign off on courses for which the student will register at any given semester.
  • The Office of the Dean is committed to: supplying the Warden with the list of courses being offered each semester
  • The requirements for the Associate Degree, Bachelor of Arts and Master of Divinity.
  • Supply the Warden with the current academic record of students under his or her charge.
